In addition to evaluating and treating patients with speech and language disorders, Dr. Poormohammad participated in formal assessments of traumatic patients for forensic medicine, determining the severity of their speech disorders. He also worked as a part-time professor and instructor at the Mashhad School of Rehabilitation and served as a clinical supervisor for speech therapy students. In 2023, he was accepted into a post-doctoral program at the University of British Columbia’s Brain and Behavior Department. There, he participated in the Wall Opera Project under the supervision of Dr. Lara Boyd. During this project, he gained extensive knowledge of EEG and cognitive assessments and became familiar with brain magnetic stimulation.
Dr. Poormohammad is deeply interested in brain stimulation using qEEG, neurofeedback, and tDCS, as well as personalized learning for patients with neurodevelopmental disorders. He also has a keen interest in martial arts, Persian poetry, and history. In his free time, he enjoys exploring nature and birdwatching with his family.
