Navid Bonakdar Hashemi is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive expertise in robotic systems design, product development, and advanced manufacturing techniques. He earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Azad University of Qazvin, where he developed a strong foundation in mechanical design and cultivated a practical, solution-oriented approach to engineering challenges.
Navid has contributed to a range of research and development initiatives at two distinguished institutions: the Mechatronics Research Laboratory (MRL) and the Syntech Research Center. At MRL, he was involved in the design and fabrication of mobile and rescue-oriented robotic platforms, with an emphasis on mechanical system integration and prototyping tailored for high-reliability and adaptive environments.

At Syntech, a leading research organization focused on automation and advanced technologies, he engaged in interdisciplinary projects involving mechanical component design, system optimization, and the implementation of scalable manufacturing processes. His responsibilities included comprehensive CAD modeling, tolerance analysis, and the selection of appropriate materials and fabrication techniques to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
In addition to his research contributions, Navid has participated in several international robotics competitions, including RoboCup, where his teams received recognition for technical innovation, reliability, and collaborative effectiveness. His work in these competitive environments required rapid problem-solving and the delivery of functional prototypes under stringent technical and temporal constraints.
He possesses advanced proficiency in Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing, which he applies extensively in rapid prototyping and iterative product development. His expertise in SolidWorks and high-precision mechanical design allows him to efficiently convert conceptual ideas into robust, testable hardware.
Presently, Navid serves as a Mechanical Engineer at Elumind Centres for Brain Excellence, where he is engaged in the design and prototyping of neurotechnology devices. His role involves the integration of mechanical and biomedical systems in support of brain monitoring and cognitive enhancement solutions.
He is deeply committed to innovation, precision engineering, and user-centered design, with a particular interest in advancing healthcare and rehabilitation technologies—fields in which engineering can deliver tangible and meaningful societal benefits.
